Trend Book 2013+

Written by

The Trend Book publication aims to present the avant-garde nature of Baltic amber, by showing unique jewellery by Polish designers in the context of stylistic trends of authors' design and design art.

The Trend Book 2013+ is a review of the best project and artistic realisations from the whole world, and collections of unique jewellery designed by the students of the Academies of Fine Arts in Gdańsk and Łódź. It is an interpretation of 6 stylistic macro trends, selected by Sławomir Fijałkowski: origami, rave, oversized, weaves, and interaction. Each of them is illustrated with carefully selected examples of products, raging from furniture, through usable art, accessories, to jewellery.

So far, there have been three editions of the Trend Book, which have showed project solutions aimed at the future, and thus they have contributed to visible growth in interest in the prehistoric, fossilised resin among the professional audience. The publications were also inspirations for a few significant exhibitions.

The book is available in the reading room in our museum.
