Amber workshops in Krakow

"There should be definitely more meetings like this where you can learn more about amber," the workshop participants agreed. How not to buy a pig in a poke, i.e. recognizing amber counterfeitsthat took place on January 24 at the Amber Museum in Krakow.

With these workshops, the Amber Museum inaugurated its educational activities for 2014. "This first meeting was a kind of market probe in terms of the need for knowledge about amber. The great interest and satisfaction of the participants are sufficient motivation for us to organize new ones, also with the participation of professionals "- explained Agnieszka Słupek, director of the Amber Museum in Krakow.

Adults and children with guardians can visit the Museum without prior reservation during the museum's opening hours. 

Admission is free.
It is possible to visit the Museum with a guide. Individuals and organized groups wishing to visit the Museum with a guide are kindly requested to make reservations in advance.

Fees for guided tours:

  • Groups up to 5 people - PLN 30
  • Groups of 5 to 10 people - PLN 50
  • Groups from 10 to 15 people - PLN 70
The maximum number of people in a group is 15. 
The time for visiting the Museum with a guide is about 40 minutes.
